Dr. John Bruchalski

Dr. John Bruchalski grew up in northern New Jersey. After attending a Salesian High School and a Jesuit college he went to the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, AL, receiving his MD degree in 1987. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Eastern Virginia Medical Center and the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia in 1991. He received board certification in 1993.

He founded the Tepeyac Family Center in Fairfax, VA in 1994, with the mission of establishing an obstetrical and gynecological facility that combines the best of modern medicine with the healing presence of Jesus Christ -- providing affordable healthcare to women, in particular, those with crisis pregnancies. In 2000, he founded Divine Mercy Care, a non-profit organization performing spiritual and corporal works of mercy in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia and is currently the Chairman of its Board of Directors. In 2005, Tepeyac Family Center became a part of Divine Mercy Care and currently operates as the first Catholic health care facility in the Diocese of Arlington.

Dr. Bruchalski's affiliations with the Couple to Couple League and the Family of the Americas make him one of the foremost medical experts on Natural Family Planning (NFP) in the country. He has spoken on various topics concerning the renaissance of Catholic medicine here in the United States, in Canada, and in Europe. He has been a part of numerous videos concerning pro-life issues, natural family planning items and those covering the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He and Tepeyac Family Center were recently featured in a front-page article in The Washington Post.

Dr. Bruchalski has been married to his wife, Carolyn, since 1991 and is the father of two boys: John Paul, born in 1992 and Joseph, in 1996. They live in Oak Hill, Virginia.

Dr. Marie Anderson

Dr. Marie Anderson grew up in Warrenton, VA where she graduated from Fauquier High School. She received a B.S. in dental hygiene from the Medical College of Virginia. After attending George Mason University briefly, she attended Georgetown University School of Medicine, where she received her MD in 1989, completing her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at George Washington University in 1993. She received her board certification in 1995, and became a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1996.

She currently practices at the Tepeyac Family Center, where she joined Dr. John Bruchalski in 1997. She has affiliations with the Couple to Couple League and is active on the Bioethics Committee at Fair Oaks Hospital where she practices. She founded the Kristin Anderson Perinatal Hospice Center as part of Tepeyac in 2004. She is a popular speaker in the Washington area having appeared on local television and at local schools, colleges, and universities where she has spoken about pertinent medical issues as they relate to life.

Dr. Anderson is married to Dr. David Anderson, a periodontist. They have two living children; David Jr. and Karl. Their daughter, Kristen, is deceased. They live in Burke, Virginia and are members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Dr. Daniel Fisk

Dr. Fisk attended Northwestern University, in Chicago, receiving his medical degree in 1989. He then completed his residency in OB/GYN at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. Board certified in 1995, Dr. Fisk spent 12 years in the Army, the last 5 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center on the teaching faculty. He joined Tepeyac in early 2003. He is married with three children.

Dr. Jennifer Brown

Dr. Jennifer Brown graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in biology.  She continued her studies at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where she graduated in 1999 and moved to Washington State where she was trained and completed her residency in the Army at Madigan Army Medical Center.  She was board-certified in 2005 and joined the Tepeyac part-time in November 2007.

Dr. Brown’s military career sent her to Washington state as well as Korea and North Carolina.  Most recently, she served as a field surgeon in Baghdad as the assistant to general surgeons in trauma surgery as well as performing the regular duties of an on-staff OB/GYN. 

Dr Brown has been a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations since 1994 and the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists since 2001.

Dr. Lorna L. Cvetkovich

 

Dr. Lorna Cvetkovich received her MD from the University of Kansas State College of Pittsburg, KS in 1973.  She completed her residency in OB/GYN at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO in 1981 and has been board certified since 1983.  She has a fellowship in Reproductive Medicine and NFP from the Pope Paul VI Institute in Omaha, NE, and was an associate to NAPRO technology pioneer Dr. Tom Hilgers from 1986-1992.  She joined the practice as a full-time provider in early 2008.

Dr. Miriam Pereira

 

Dr. Miriam Pereira is a native of India where she received her MD from the Armed Forces medical College and practiced as an OB/GYN for five years.  She completed her residency in OB/GYN at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, in June 2007.  She joined the practice at Tepeyac Family Center as a full-time provider in January 2008.

Fran Black

 

Ms. Fran Black, MSN, CFNP has been practicing nursing for over forty years. She attended New York City College and Seton Hall University, New Jersey, earning two undergraduate nursing degrees, and she worked as a Registered Nurse for 31 years.  In 1996, Fran graduated from Marymount University in Arlington, VA with her Master's degree in Nursing, when she was licensed as a Nationally Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Fran’s experience has been mostly in aspects of female healthcare and Internal Medicine.  She sees only our gynecology patients.  She is the mother of three grown children and a grandmother of four.
