				<description>&lt;p&gt;Divine Mercy Care and Tepeyac Family Center would like to congratulate Dr. Marie Anderson on her recent presentation at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.  Dr. Anderson was invited to speak at the annual UN Commission on the Status of Women discussing  &amp;#8220;Religious Contributions to Ending Domestic Violence&amp;#8221; to roughly 75 delegates from all over the world.  Her topics included how access to abortion is not a necessary response to domestic violence and how early education about human sexuality lays the groundwork for a mature respect of our bodies and for one another. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Marie A. Anderson, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., OB-GYN, &lt;/b&gt;is Chief Medical Officer of Tepeyac Family Center, LLC She earned her M.D. from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. in 1989 and also completed her OB/GYN residency at Georgetown in 1993. She has been board certified since 1995 and joined Tepeyac in 1997. Along with her duties as Medical Director, Dr. Anderson is Director of The Kristen Anderson Perinatal Hospice Program. This unique, compassionate program provides families with the greatest amount of time with their sick, unborn children - children, in utero, who are diagnosed with a terminal illness. Dr. Anderson was the first physician to join Dr. Bruchalski at Tepeyac Family Center. Since that beginning, she too has become a familiar face in the community with television appearances and lecture series. She is available to serve as a speaker on a number of topics including Tepeyac's perinatal hospice. Dr. Anderson was a featured panelist during the Catholic Information Center's discussion, Women Challenging the HHS Mandate. She authored a chapter in the book, Breaking Through: Catholic Women Speak for Themselves. Dr. Anderson serves as President of the Northern Virginia Guild of the Catholic Medical Association.
Marirosa Anderson is a volunteer photographer with the organization, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS). Volunteer photographers who belong to the group, take pictures of stillborn babies&amp;#8212;and babies expected to die soon after birth&amp;#8212;for their parents at no cost. Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep offers gentle and beautiful photography services in a compassionate and sensitive manner Marirosa attended Marymount University and majored in Marketing and Psychology.
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Azar P. Dagher, M.D.&lt;/b&gt; serves as Tepeyac Family Center&amp;#8217;s pro bono radiologist. Dr. Dagher earned his M.D. from the University of Maryland, and served as an Intern at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Dagher was a Resident with The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and later was a Fellow with The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology Neuropathology. Dr. Dagher&amp;#8217;s certifications include the State of Maryland Board of Quality Assurance, Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, American Board of Radiology (ABR), ABR Certification of Added Qualification, Neuroradiology, and ACLS Certification. Most recently, Dr. Dagher received his license to practice medicine in Virginia. Dr. Dagher has written a number of journal articles and book chapters related to radiology. He works in the Department of Radiology of Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD.
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Tammy Ruiz, R.N.,&lt;/b&gt; has been the Perinatal Bereavement Coordinator at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg for the past 8 years; she cares for women and families in times of pregnancy loss and infant death.  She designed and runs the Garden of Angels burial program which has provided respectful burial for 385 babies.  She began one of the first 40 perinatal hospice programs in the world - she has taught internationally on the topic, hosted Nurse Researchers from Japan and had her work on this subject translated into Polish. Her Perinatal Hospice video has been seen in 104 countries. She has been published in the International Journal of Childbirth Education, The Journal of Illness, Crisis and Loss and was featured on EWTN &amp;amp; Univision TV channels. She speaks to audiences of doctors and nurses on the topic of "Communication with the Newly Bereaved" and has upcoming national presentations on these and related topics. She is the mom of 3 and grandma to one. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Paula A. Stryker &lt;/b&gt;works as a professional pharmaceutical representative in the Richmond Area. She attends St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fredericksburg, along with her husband Richard and three teenage children.  Paula's 4th child Corrine Catherine was diagnosed at 19 weeks with a poor prenatal diagnosis.  Corrine's short time with her family and had a profound impact on their life.  The experience of mothering a child with a poor prenatal diagnosis inspired Paula to start a local peer ministry, Embracing Grace, and to speak at various venues about her experience to bring awareness to issues surrounding poor prenatal diagnosis. Paula and her husband Richard received Tepeyac's Susan M. Torres Award for living out the gospel of life and the mystery of suffering. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Richard N. Stryker&lt;/b&gt; is a 1986 graduate of the US Naval Academy.  He served in the Navy as an Explosive Ordinance Disposal Officer.  He has worked for the past fifteen years a Special Agent for the FBI.  The last nine of those years has been spent at the FBI Laboratory at Quantico, VA as a forensic examiner.  Richard is the father of four children.  His youngest daughter, Corrine Catherine was diagnosed with a poor prenatal diagnosis. 
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Fr. Stefan Paul Starzynski &lt;/b&gt;holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Gannon University and graduated from Mount St. Mary&amp;#8217;s Seminary in 1996.  He is a diocesan priest in Arlington, VA where he was ordained on May 18, 1996.  He serves as parochial vicar at  St. Mary of Sorrows in Fairfax.  He has offered talks on Theology of the Body, participated in Life in the Spirit seminars and served as a chaplain for Cursillo and Engaged Encounter Weekends.  His healing masses, offered on the second Saturday of each month at St. Mary of Sorrows, are well attended from individuals who travel far and wide.  He also celebrates a Mass &amp;#8211; Healing for the Family Tree on a periodic basis.  Fr. Stephan's book, Miracles: Healing for a Broken World,  was released in April 2010, and pre-orders from Amazon.com placed it as the top-selling Catholic book within the first 48 hours and was the top seller for the publisher, Our Sunday Visitor, for the month of March 2010.   All of the authors&amp;#8217; royalties go to support the Paul Stefan Foundation.   An avid traveler, Father Stefan has been to Malaysia to speak at a Men&amp;#8217;s Conference and to England for several Healing Masses, talks and services.
